Becoming a cancer coach is different for everyone. In my case, it involved years of independent study (I continue to learn each day from the people around me), plus learning and improving my own coaching system. I was fortunate in 2018 to finally stumble upon Susan Silberstein’s organization, the Center for Advancement in Cancer Education. Today I’m grateful to be a Certified Holistic Cancer Coach through her organization. You can visit their official website at BeatCancer.org by clicking the button at the bottom of this page.
Their mission, which resonates with my perspective of cancer and healing, is this:
“WHY: At The Center for Advancement in Cancer Education | BeatCancer.Org we believe that 90% of all cancers can be eliminated through environmental & lifestyle choices alone, and science agrees. WHAT: Therefore, our mission is to help people by providing research-based education on how to prevent, cope with, and beat cancer through diet, lifestyle and other immune-boosting approaches.“
I recommend this certification course to anyone working or volunteering in the field of cancer, whether or not you intend to become a coach. When Susan Silberstein speaks, the depth of her years of experience and her compassion is palpable.
